
Audra Whatley received her Bachelor of Science in genetics from Texas A&M University, after which she worked in medical research facilities creating diagnostics and vaccines for allopathic medicine. After some health concerns of her own, she chose to attend a school for alternative medicine instead of a traditional medical school.
Audra earned her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston, Texas. This four-year program consists of 2,600 hours of education including 870 hours of clinical practice and 420 hours of herbology. She is certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as a Diplomate in Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). This includes certification in Clean Needle Technique, Acupoint location and Chinese Herbology. Audra worked in an acupuncture clinic under Dr. Randine Lewis at Eastern Harmony Clinic in Houston, Texas (easternharmonyclinic.com) becoming familiar with techniques for natural reproductive enhancement, hormonal balancing, and treating women's health concerns. She then moved and set up a general practice in Fort Collins, Colorado. In April of 2004 Audra decided to move back to Texas and set up practice in McKinney. Audra's training includes adjunctive therapies such as moxibustion, tui na, acupressure, cupping, auriculotherapy, scalpulopuncture, herbology, dietary and lifestyle recommendations.
In Audra's spare time, she rock climbs, works out, and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities as well as movies and dining.
